WELCOME BACK - FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL - AUGUST 17, 2026 - MONDAY!
The Bristol Bay Borough School District would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this generous donation of Bristol Bay salmon possible. This was truly a collaborative effort, and we are grateful to all who contributed their time, effort, and support. A special thank you to SeaShare, Trident Seafoods, Alaska General Seafoods, Leader Creek Fisheries, and Silver Bay Seafoods for their generosity and partnership in making this donation possible for our students and community.
Because of your generosity and the work that went into organizing this effort, our students and elders will get to enjoy fresh, locally caught Bristol Bay salmon as part of their school lunches this year.
A special thank you also goes to our staff and students who helped unload, organize, and store the fish at the school. Your willingness to jump in and help is greatly appreciated.
This was truly a community effort, and we are grateful to everyone who played a part. Thank you for supporting our students, our elders, and our community.

Preschool enrollment is now open for children who will be 3 or 4 years old by September 1.
Complete online https://www.bbbsd.net/page/registration. Start date is Monday, August 24.
The school-based program combines ages 3 and 4 and is currently planned for 8:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m., with 20 student spaces available. A homeschool preschool option is also available for those not ready for school-based or families more interested in learning at home. For more information, contact Esther Pepin at epepin@bbsd.net.

Position Summary
The Athletic Director provides leadership, coordination, and oversight for the district's interscholastic athletic programs. Working closely with the Superintendent, Principal, coaches, students, families, and community members, the Athletic Director is responsible for ensuring that all athletic programs operate in a safe, positive, and educational environment that supports student achievement, sportsmanship, and personal growth. The Athletic Director oversees scheduling, travel logistics, compliance, budgeting, equipment management, and the recruitment of the coaching staff.
