Day on the Bay

Dear Angel Community: A quick update on a few school items:

SCHOOL STATUS: If BBBSD were in-person we would continue to follow the Low-Risk/Green protocols. Discussed at the HAC meeting on Friday were the following:

 * No current positives being tracked at the time of the meeting (one discussed later). Please note that the number of people testing has decreased significantly.

 * Successful mass vax event with 71 people receiving the vaccination Saturday, March 13th.

 * Approximately 64% of the Borough's eligible population has been vaccinated.

 * Potential for 16+ to receive Pfizer vax. on the 31st of March via BBAHC.

A very big “Thank You” to Camai & BBAHC for helping our community reach such a high level of vaccinations. We appreciate all the work you have done to keep our community safe.

HOMEBOUND INSTRUCTION: The Homebound Instruction model will be in place the week of March 22nd, following spring break. Please make sure to email your child’s teacher and/or principal with questions or requests of support.

CONSTRUCTION/SCHOOL RETURN: The most recent round of asbestos testing was completed the week of March 15th. Results of the testing will become available late in the week of March 22nd. If the results allow, students and staff will occupy the High School wing of the facility on March 29th.
