Christmas Program

The Christmas Program is going to be Thursday Dec 19 at 7pm.  Students should be at the school by 6:30.  Girls wear red & black, boys wear black & white. Students in grades K-1 bring cookies, grades 2 & 3 bring fruit/vegetable trays, and grades 4/5 bring cheese/cracker/meat trays.

School Board Policies and Revisions

New and revised policies can now be viewed on the School Board page.

After School Snack Program

Though the After School Snack Program is tied to the number of students that receive free and reduced lunch it benefits the entire student population.  This year we have not received back all the applications for free and reduced lunch and our percentage has fallen below the thresh hold for us to qualify for the program.  If you haven't returned your application please do so, if you need a new one they are available in the office.  Until we are above the qualification percentage the After School Snack Program is suspended.

Stockings for Soldiers

Mr. Scott is collecting items to be put in stockings and mailed to soldiers in Afghanistan.  The due date for turning in the items is November 29th.  Following is a list of acceptable donation items:

Christmas decorations, reading materials, gum, candy, razors, dvd’s, individual snacks such as nuts, granola bars, beef jerky, instant drink mixes, sunflower seeds, protein bars, cookies, trail mix, rice krispie treats, travel size items such as hand lotion shampoo, conditioner, tooth paste, hand wipes, body wash, deodorant (non aerosol) and hand sanitizer, chap stick, tooth brushes, homemade Christmas cards, basically anything small enough to fit in a shirt pocket is welcomed.

Battle of the Books

We’ll be starting to practice for Battle of the Books on November 21, Thursday in the library. If you are interested in joining please stay after school to form teams. Practice will be every Thursday after school until 4:30. You will be responsible to find your own ride home. There is not an activity bus this year. If you can’t make practices and still want to be on a team, please talk to Mrs. Ludvick so she knows.

Lego Robotics Club

Mr. Dube is starting a Lego robotics club.  The club is open to students in grades 3-8, but only grades 4-8 are allowed to be part of the official competitions.  Third graders are welcome to be part of the club and learn to build and program simple robots.

The club will meet after school on Mondays & Wednesdays until 4:30.  We do not have an activity bus this year so students will need to arrange for their own transportation home.
